Angry Creative are so lucky to be situated in the heart of a community that always wants to give back – whether it’s buying a sandwich for someone living on the streets, Brighton Beach cleanups or hosting an array of fantastic events such as Brighton Fringe to keep us Brightonions giggling through the hard times!
As an agency that is all about partnership and positivity, we always love to give something back to the Brighton community, as well as our forever growing WordPress community. Angry Creative has gone through a large growing spell over the past year, which is all very exciting and wonderful, resulting in our office being filled to the brim with beaming shiny superstars who know all there is to know about WordPress. In fact, the talent we currently have is outstanding – “can we share this knowledge?” we thought, and if so how?
It’s Brighton Digital Festival month (one of our favourite times of the year!) and Wired Sussex is hosting their Open Studios event again, which we feel would be the perfect opportunity to release that knowledge of ours and share it with our community.
On Friday 6th October from 3pm-5pm we will be running our very own WordPress Workshop for our Open Studios event where we are inviting all students, graduates, freelancers and WordPress whizzes to sit down with our Developer & Design team to ask for the tips and tricks they wish they knew.
At Angry Creative we do love the odd (most weeks) slice of cake and a good natter, so if you too enjoy cake and opportunities to thrive then we want you to come and join us at our WordPress Workshop where you will be taken care of by our caring, intelligent and passionate people!
“But what if I don’t know anything about WordPress?”
We don’t judge or make preconceptions about anyone or anything at Angry Creative. In fact, our arms are always open to anyone who just wants to have a chat. Every day at work for us is a learning curve, so we understand what makes a comfortable and safe learning environment.
“I want to know about Development and Design – is this possible?”
Of course! We have hired 2 very well decorated rooms (just to set the right vibe) to host our workshop, which will be split into a Developer Workshop and a Design Workshop. And we’ll be holding each workshop twice, in case you want to visit both. The WordPress Workshops will be in 2x 1 hour slots, so please feel free to jump on the Developer bandwagon then hop right over to the Design one after.
“Why is the WordPress Workshop not being held in your office?”
Ah great question! Due to our growth, we have sadly outgrown our fabulous home in Seven Dials. BUT, have no fear, our new home on North Street by the hustle and bustle of the Lanes is awaiting us at the end of 2017, of which we hope to host various learning and development events, like the Open Studios, in 2018.
“OK, so I’m convinced so far, but how do I know I will get anything out of it?”
It would be wrong to promise that you will definitely feel like you’ve got something out of our workshops, however, it would be right to stand by my own experience at Angry Creative by saying that I have never been surrounded by so many enthusiastic, intelligent, welcoming and supportive people in a workplace. For that alone, I can promise that even if you don’t feel like it was the right event for you, you will leave the workshop thinking of how lovely and supportive those people were.
