Bacardi is the largest privately held spirits company in the world. Their premium brand portfolio boasts the likes of Bacardi rum, Martini, Grey Goose vodka and Bombay Sapphire gin. As the only agency to deeply understand the requirements of their complex project, they chose us to be their WordPress technology partners across their more than 200 brands and labels.



Previously, each of Bacardi’s websites were designed and built in silos. While they recognised there had to be an easier way to manage new website builds, they were concerned about designing an entirely new way of working.

Each brand has its own website, and each website brings unique complications – not least meeting legal requirements in multiple countries. We produced a statement of work to ensure every new Bacardi website is built efficiently, despite these complexities.

Own, dedicated WordPress team

A team of our developers works exclusively for Bacardi. We initially built a bespoke theme and plugins in WordPress. Now, we adapt this framework to each new Bacardi site – saving them time and money, while ensuring cross-brand cohesion.

Our in-house Quality Assurance Manager quality checks every site, with security and performance testing carried out by a third party. These added levels of testing reaffirm every Bacardi site looks and functions to specifications before go-live.

Bacardi has many brands across the world, every project is unique but at the same time based firmly on the framework collaboratively built by Pragmatic, Bacardi and its other IT partners.
