Our Managing Director Amy Slade will be speaking at the 9% Event in Brighton this coming Tuesday 8th October 2019!
The event will be held at the Barclays Eagle Lab in Brighton with onsite Industry 4.0 expertise (how fancy). She is one of three speakers that will share her experience of how she got to where she is today. From the highs to the lows, and the peaks and troughs, these ladies will share their expertise in what it’s like being a woman working in their respective industries and kicking some butt!
Named after the current UK gender pay gap, the 9% Event focuses on women managing fast-growth businesses in Brighton (like ours!). This event is open to all women in any industry and a networking session will be available at the start of the evening too. What makes this networking event different from others is the structured networking beforehand. Attendees are asked to give their top three objectives for the evening and are matched into groups with similar objectives for a good convo over a drink or two. It’s like Tinder but for networking! How cool is that!
Alongside Amy, Hannah Dawson (CEO and Founder of Futrli) and Melanie Lawson (Founder of Bare Biology) will be speaking at the event. It’s a great way to gain some insight into three different industries and review some challenges these women have faced and overcome.
