We’re looking for someone to lead our QA department. The ideal person will enjoy collaborating with our different teams, as well as external partners, to ensure we are delivering rock-solid work. We have embraced agile as an agency, and our QA Manager plays a big part in the continual improvement of our delivery.
Headline Accountabilities
- Enforce technical quality standards across the company
- Create monthly reports for the board meeting, delivered 2 working days prior to the monthly board meeting
Responsibilities
- Review the current QA process and suggest and implement any changes required
- Ensure that the QA process is fully integrated within the overall development and project lifecycles
- Work closely with the Product Owners, Delivery Managers and Technical Team to ensure all customer requirements are delivered fully tested, with documented evidence to support this
- Provide ad-hoc and regular quality reporting to the appropriate stakeholders both internally and externally
- Identify and implement updates to our cross-browser and device testing strategy
- Team leadership and managing junior members of the team
- Provide mentorship and guidance to development staff on any QA matters
- Ownership of defect management processes and tool
- Ownership of requirement management processes and tool
- Supporting accessibility requirements
- Investigate non-functional testing processes and tools and implement as appropriate;
- Investigate and oversee implementation of automated testing
Skills and experience
- 4 or more years QA experience, with at least 2 years hands-on experience testing websites or similar
- Ability to extract testable requirements from a wide range of business and technical documentation and turn those into concise test plans
- A high benchmark for quality and the tenacity to ensure all deliverables meet this
- Understand and use a wide range of test techniques including exploratory, responsive, functional and nonfunctional testing, and to demonstrate those to the wider project team to ensure quality throughout the project lifecycle
- Exposure to different project methodologies including Agile and Waterfall
- Previous hands-on experience with automated test tooling
- Knowledge of Jira or similar
- Previous digital agency experience
